J.P. took a deep drag on the whole scene and awakened to a new level of consciousness--the blur of colors, the stealthy sounds of wheels and tires through air and on asphalt, sponsors’ logos on shorts and jerseys like NASCAR minus the redneck, and the striations in the riders’ quad and calf muscles as they rode by for the last time.

He visualized himself in the race as he rolled the paint up and down the walls.  He thought of powering through the straight-aways, and when he rounded a corner of door trim with his brush, he saw himself railing through the turns and making a final dash to the line where he would raise his arms in a glorious blood rush of victory.

We had a great shoot Saturday morning.  The light was really good and so was the photographer.  This shot is NOT one of her's.  It is one I took with my phone and then enhanced with the Photo Enhancer app for the Windows 7 phone.  Her shots will be up in a few days.

Great to see Cipollini on the track.  He's bringing up the young sprinter Guardini who will soon be giving Cavendish a run for his money.

Classic Guerciotti for Sale

My father-in-law has the sweet, classic ride for sale. I just saw a 1979 frame on Ebay just like this one--same paint scheme and everything. The groupo on this is Campagnolo Super Record. The cables need replaced but other than that she rides like a steel dream.
